The Times and the AP

On the international desk of The New York Times, I edit breaking news, features and investigative articles. I help plan coverage; promote the work on social media; write online headlines and display type; and edit a variety of multimedia projects. From 2000 to 2004, I oversaw coverage of New York City and the metropolitan area for The Associated Press, leading a staff of 25 reporters and editors. As New York City news editor, I helped direct AP’s coverage of the Sept. 11 attack; the crash of American Airlines Flight 587; the blackout of August 2003; and the financial crimes trials of Martha Stewart and others.
